“Home is where the heart is,” decrees ancient wisdom, and we at Merlins Rest Pub most readily agree. Our traditional tavern embodies that noblest of British Isles institutions: the local pub. Historically, the public house is an abode of welcome to all who come in search of solace, sustenance, and a drop of good cheer. Free from the gaze of the television’s all-numbing eye, conversation is king. Merriment, music, and a little of Merlins magic ease the cares of the day towards the pleasures of the evening. Whether your needs are a good meal, a glass of fine wine, a tipple of malt whiskey, or merely a pint or two and a chat with the locals, Merlins is your “home away from home”—just bring your heart.

OUR FOOD & DRINK

Merlins Rest Pub features a wide selection of import taps and authentic spirits. The pub has the largest selection of single malt scotches and Irish whiskeys in Minnesota (many of which are showcased during our first Thursday tastings, fall through spring). We have hand-selected the recipes for our diverse menu, and our kitchen team is constantly creating new dishes and desserts. We feature top-quality pub plates, including classics such as Fish & Chips, Cottage Pie, Steak Pie and Bangers & Mash, as well as locally sustainable products such as our burgers made with grass-fed beef.

OUR ENTERTAINMENT

Merlins Rest Pub has some of the best musicians in the Twin Cities come through our doors. We feature open jams, live Irish music, jazz, blues, folk, and many other sounds. Follow our calendar of events for the latest.
