History! Thank you, friends, for helping us hold what was a first for (at the very least) the 3600 block of East Lake: a pancake race! This classic Shrove Tuesday (aka, Fat Tuesday) event is celebrated the world over and is particularly observed in the UK. (Many just eat pancakes, but racing while flipping them is also observed and a giddily enjoyable amount of fun). We couldn’t resist bringing it our little corner.

Each year, we throw a Valentine’s Dinner on or right about the day. This special multi-course meal is a hit–which makes reservations a must if want to take part. This year, we’re holding our annual three-course meal on Saturday, February 11. Dinner reservations will be taken for seatings between 6:30 – 8:00 pm.

SIX NATIONS RUGBY – NEW VIEWING SCHEDULE
Alright! So: we’ve had competing tales of what is and is not available for regular US viewing of the Six Nations Rugby tournament. What we’ve found is that not all matches will be open for us to show…but we will show one match per week.

England vs. Scotland
England has rebuilt its squad since the World Cup but has suffered some injuries. Scotland has shown repeated improvement and may finally pose a legitimate threat in the Six Nations. Watch these two old rivals square off here on the big screen (keeping in mind the Scottish independence question, if you’d like an extra stake for the fanfare!).

TONIGHT! Thursday, February 2 brings back our monthly scotch tasting. Every first Thursday, we tap into our extraordinary supply of single-malt scotches and various whiskys for 7:30 pm tasting.
This month we are pairing our selections with CHOCOLATE. We’ll sample Glenkinchie with 50% cacao, Cragganmore with 70% cacao, Talisker with Chili dark and Laguvulin with dark chocolate with a touch of sea salt.
