Full Speed Ahead to Half-Way!

We’re almost half-way to Saint Patrick’s Day, and that brings two big events to Merlins this week. But first, some sporting news and specials:

Blind Darts Returns!
September 13

The Blind Darts League is back! We have been fortunate enough to be a regular venue (and have been home to some awesome teams). The Blind Darts League is a blast. Let fly, my friends! Catch ’em here in the pub on Tuesday night.

Merlins Rest’s Team Goes 10 – 0!

Our pub’s softball squad, Bangers & Mash, is a regular Murderers Row. They’ve just concluded the Fall Season #1 fixtures with a perfect 10 – 0 record! That makes the kids 27 – 2 – 1 for the year. Please join us for a celebration at Merlins next Monday (September 19) after 8:00 pm. They’ll play their first double-header of the Fall #2 fixtures that day and, we hope, will be ready to celebrate a 2 – 0 start. Either way, we’re awfully proud of our team. Cheers!

Tasty Specials on Tap
September 12-18

This week (Tuesday), yer dear publican has a birthday. To celebrate, we’re serving up specials all week on a couple classic English pints: Old Speckled Hen (which Elvis Costello adores) and Fullers ESB. Get ’em on tap for $4.50 a pint.

Special Guest for Oktoberstfest

Schells has produced a beautiful Octoberfest beer this year, and we’ve got it on tap. Say hello to (and goodbye into your belly) this fantastic tap while supplies last.

Whiskey Tasting
September 15
Half-Way to Saint Patrick’s Day Whiskey Tasting! Though the big party is Saturday night, a whiskey tasting was certainly called for. Take part at 7:30 pm. This may be a crowded one, though, so please consider calling the pub to potentially reserve a spot: 612 216 2419.

Special Dinner
September 17
We’ll serve up traditional Corned Beef and Cabbage dinner starting at 4:00 pm. Enjoy our braised in Black Butte Porter Corned Beef Brisket as the star! And, of course, wash it down with an Irish beverage or two.
