A CELTIC CHILDHOOD

Before we get to the events at Merlins this weekend, let us take a moment to remind you of the annual Saint Paul Irish Dancers performance. This year’s performance is called “A Celtic Childhood” and features not just the dancers but yer man Bill Watkins (who happens to have published a book called “A Celtic Childhood”). The details:

Acoustic Jam
1:00 pm

Every Saturday from 1 until 4pm, Six Strings and a Song, http://acoustic.meetup.com/66/, will host an open acoustic jam.  You need not be a member of Six Strings to join us and any genre of music is welcome.

Whovians Unite!
4:00 pm

Our friends from the Minneapolis Doctor Who Meetup Group will be in the pub on Saturday, March 21, from roughly 4:00 – 8:00 pm. Whovians unite! We always love to see them. Great fun. Join ‘em if you’ve got even a casual interest in the series (then or now). It’s free and fun. You might even see an old episode of Dr. Who broadcast on a screen here.

Every Sunday our man John Dingley hosts a 25-question pub quiz. It’s free and fun to participate. Teams of up to 4 persons are allowed. Let the Dingley shock and awe you with a generally interesting run of general interest questions. Compete on teams of up to four. Tell your friends and your enemies! Providing the music an hour before and 30 minutes after the quiz is yer man Sam Fiske. Sink your teeth…er, ears?…into Sam’s Sandwich!
