Saint David’s Day has returned! He–Dewi Sant–is the Patron Saint of Wales. Not only is this day important to us as an Isles’ pub, but one of our publicans, John Dingley, hails from Builth Wells, Wales.
We’ll have our Sunday brunch (10:00 am – 2:00 pm), per usual, and our Sunday night pub quiz (8:00 pm) with the the Welshman himself. There may also be something going on in the afternoon….
We encourage all to arm themselves with a leek–a symbol of Wales and Saint David’s Day–and/or a a daffodil (the associated flower) and pop up to celebrate. Pick your produce and your poison! And raise the daffodil with pride.
We hope that you’ll at least share part of your Sunday with us and toast Wales, Saint David, and yer man John Dingley.
