February 27: Live Irish Music & St. David’s Day

Tonight: Kilt Night with Live Irish Music
Time: 9:00 pm

It’s Kilt Night! Join us for the weekly hoolie, friends, and the live Irish music in the traditional pub style: no mics, no amps. Just some of the Cities’ finest Irish session musicians playing about a table or two in the bar and mingling with the people. Grab a Guinness and celebrate!

(Saint David’s Day)

Saint David’s Day has returned! He–Dewi Sant–is the Patron Saint of Wales. Not only is this day important to us as an Isles’ pub, but one of our publicans, John Dingley, hails from Builth Wells, Wales.

We’ll have our Sunday brunch (10:00 am – 2:00 pm), per usual, and our Sunday night pub quiz (8:00 pm) with the the Welshman himself. There may also be something going on in the afternoon–stay tuned for details, please. We encourage all to arm themselves with a leek–a symbol of Wales and Saint David’s Day–and/or a a daffodil (the associated flower). Pick your produce and your poison!

We hope that you’ll at least share part of your Sunday with us and toast Wales, Saint David, and yer man John Dingley.
