October 9: Cooker Cooks It Up and Friday Reminder

Tonight: Cooker John with Special Guests – The Front Porch Swinging Liquor Pigs!
Time: 9:00 pm

Cooker John, who normally plays the third Thursday of the month, will play TONIGHT, while our normal second Thursday band (Mosher/Ekstrand) are moving to October 16 this month.

And Cooker John won’t be alone. He’s bringing along some special guests: The Front Porch Swinging Liquor Pigs!!

So pop up and catch this rare event. Music starts at 9:00 pm.

It seems a curious sight, but it’s an absolute blast. Knitters from the Twin Cities gather here at Merlins every month to trade stories, further their skills, and, all in all, take down a few pints. We love ‘em dearly.

For those interested in learning more or perhaps joining them, they’ll be here Friday, October 10 from about 4:00 – 7:00 pm. In the meantime, check out Ravelry.com. It’s a wonderful resource for knitting and a well-done website. Look for the Crafty in Minnesota participants. Another site you might explore is Etsy.com, where you can find a good number of Minnesotans posting their handmade work for sale.

Monday through Thursday

From 4:00 – 6:00 pm, Monday through Thursday, we’re offering $3.75 import pints–and we’ve got some of the best: Guinness, Belhaven, Fuller’s, etc. Other beer and liquor specials will be available too, as will food specials on cheese dips, lamb chops and more. We’re even going to throw in some prize drawings.
