September 18: Cooker John, Thursday Specials and TLAP Day

Tonight: Cooker John
Time: 9:00 pm

Thanks much to Bill Watkins and Roady for the note regarding the new Tuesday night folk jam: the session starts at 7:30 pm. Cheers to that!

Tonight, we’re cookin’! Cooker John returns for his monthly third Thursday gig.

Cooker John is one of the Twin Cities’ finest musicians. He plays finger-style and slide guitar, mixing folk, blues and originals that reflect a performing experience of over 40 years. Pop in for a tincture and at the same time enjoy this opportunity to share a musical experience of unusual depth and expertise. Music starts around 9 PM.

From 4:00 – 6:00 pm, Monday through Thursday, we’re offering $3.75 import pints–and we’ve got some of the best: Guinness, Belhaven, Fuller’s, etc. Other beer and liquor specials will be available too, as will food specials on cheese dips, lamb chops and more. We’re even going to throw in some prize drawings.

Arrrrr!!!! Friday, September 19, is International Talk Like a Pirate Day. Join us for an unholy alliance of pirate speak, pint toasting, and kilt wearing. It’s our normal Friday fun–including live Irish music–plus…what else? PIRATES!

Music starts around 9:00 pm. Come as yourself or someone else.
