It’s the weekend! Excellent. I found myself watching an episode of Midsomer Murders the other day and thinking of our Welsh publican John Dingley (an armchair ornithologist) and Minnesota’s very own Birdchick. The episode was titled “Birds of Prey” and comes from the series’ sixth season. Those who attend the Birds and the Beers gatherings or who plan to give it a visit here at Merlins, hey: look for that Midsomer episode! Raptors and a murder mystery. A fine English tradition.
(They even mention merlins in that episode.)
So: We’ve got the Hot Club of East Lake in the pub tonight. Music starts around 9 pm. These cats can lay down the jazz, so we suggest you pick it up. Good time, great tunes. See you tonight!
Keep in mind we serve brunch on the weekends, 9 am – 2 pm. Traditional Irish and British breakfasts, American classics, hot coffee and more. It’s gotten very good reviews. So sample it and add yours!
