Right! We’ve got the Merlins Rest Open Mic tonight with Harrison Matthews. Join us and spin a yarn, recite a poem, read a bit from that novel or memoir you really are working on. Whatever it may be, share it. It’s your mic! The fun starts around 8 pm.
NOW ON TAP
Keeping the selections fresh, friends. We’ve now got Fuller’s ESB on tap. And it’s served in fine, dimpled glass. Pop up and give it a sample.
Look out! Keep the date of Friday, December 28 open, friends. A Kilt Krash is going to occur up here! Starting at about 7:30 pm, our Kilt Night will feature members of the St. Andrew’s Society and the Twin Cities Scottish Club. More details to follow.
Right! We will be open aton Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Years Eve until late. Some details:
* Christmas Eve will feature our classic British Isles-style Knees Up (“knees up” = party) featuring all our friends, family and anyone that wants to join in on the entertainmen, buckshee (free-of-charge), of course.
* Christmas day will offer a Traditional Christmas Quiz that entails 5 x 5 question segments. A prize will be awarded at the end of each segment and a grand prize will be awarded at the end for the winner. This monstrous quiz will be co-hosted by Frankendingley and Willy Watkins.
(Scots for New Years Eve) – We’ll be open from 2.00 PM until some time in 2008! So bring in the new year Scottish style. Kilts and bagpiping included. So count down the hours and minutes with us as 2008 approaches and our piper readies himself for a nice round of “Auld Lange Syne” (song sheets to be supplied to all so we expect everyone to sing!).
