The Merlins Rest Open Mic is tonight! Join Harrison Matthews as he leads the creative fun. Bring your guitar, your singing voice, your accordion; your poems your stories, your novel chapters. It’s your mic! Say it, sing it, share it, friends.
The mic opens around 8 PM.
DECEMBER IS BUSY
December is going to be a grand month of fun here at Merlins Rest. Check out the event list so far:
Thursday, December 6, 7:30 PM - Single-Malt Scotch Tasting! Join us and our good friend Fiona for four or five grand pours from our single-malt stock and plenty of fun. Flat fee of $25 to participate. Bring your friends or make new ones.
Friday, December 7 - Guinness Event. Details soon.
Saturday, December 15, Afternoon - Benefit for Keith Palm. As our friend convalesces, a number of bands and friends will gather to raise some funds. All are welcomed. Details soon.
Saturday, December 15, 4 PM - Doctor Who Meetup Group. This open-to-all interest group knows plenty of what about Who. Great fun and great great people. Pop in and join the fun.

* December 6 - Scottish music with Bill Watkins after the single-malt scotch tasting.
* December 13 - Mosher/Ekstrand Experiment. 8:30 PM -Cathy Mosher and Bob Ekstrand will be joined by Dan “Daddy Squeeze” Newton…on the accordion! Playing an eclectic mix of music ranging from folk to blues with a dash of rock and a bit of jazz to boot. Music from 8:30 - 11:00.
* December 20 - Cooker John. 9.00 PM - Cooker John plays finger-style and slide guitar, mixing folk, blues and originals that reflect a performing experience of over 40 years. * December 27 - Dino and the Dinosaurs. 9:00 PM
