Wednesday: Old Molly’s and More

We’ve reached the week’s center and Samhain (Celtic New Year) is fast-approaching.

A couple activities are on tap tonight, complemented nicely by all the lovely brew we have on tap. So: first up is the Druids Grove monthly gathering. If you’ve an interest in the spiritual path of Druidry, by all means stop up and meet our friends in this group at 7 PM. All are welcomed.

About 8/8:30, we’ll put a Guinness or six in Billy Watkins and fire up The Old Molly’s Folk Jam. Fine musicians and patrons just letting the sounds buffet them about. Spirited, informal and a real pleasure. So come have a pie and a pint and enjoy the midweek.

TOMORROW

Thursday, October 18 – The Birds & the Beers, 6 PM – Our good friend Sharon Stiteler, aka the Birdchick, is calling all birders! They’ll gather to discuss this fascinating matter, make a few new friends, and all in all just keep touch. Really fine group. Pop in and join them. It’s free, informal and open to new members.

SAMHAIN!!

Wednesday, October 31 – Samhain Celebration! – Samhain (”November” or “for the feast” depending on whether you’re coming from Gaelic or Scottish Gaelic) is the Celtic New Year. This year it lands on Wednesday–the night on which we routinely hold the Old Molly’s Folk Jam with our boy Billy Watkins. Add to Samhain and the Jam the annual Halloween fun and you’ve got one hell of a night.

Come as yourself or someone else.
