Saturday is Hot

Why do I even check Weather.com? It boasts of today reaching 78. As of noon, we’re nowhere near that mark. Ce la vie. Why put much stock in the weather? We should enjoy our days nonetheless. And we should enjoy the curiosity of words composed of words we’ve decided not to separate: nonetheless, albeit, etc.
Weather forecasting is an interesting profession. You get paid to be wrong 60% of the time. If only publican Dingley could collect like that when it comes to horses!
Right! It’s Saturday, and that means good times are here. The Hot Club is in house! Come enjoy some of the finest jazz in the Cities as you grab a bite and a pint. It’s a beautiful part of a Saturday night. Music starts around 9 pm.
WHAT WE’RE READING
* 24 + 82 = Unexpected
* Wales played surprisingly well at the Rugby World Cup (after that dismal showing in the Six Nations last February / March), but it was not to be. Fiji has sent them out in a tight match (38 - 34). But I expect good things from Mark Jones and company next February!
* A bottle of Bowmore has been auctioned off for nearly $60,000!! It’s thought to have been bottled around 1850. We’ve got a gorgeous stock of single malts from the Isles, but I assure you we are more affordable.
* And since I don’t get many chances for this, please grant me the latitude to shout, “Cubs!“
