Expanding Menus, Folk Jams, and Single Malts
May 30th, 2007 by Merlin
It’s Wednesday, friends, and that means the Old Molly’s Folk Jam will be going on. Come join the fun at the pub as a handful of musicians will gather here informally. They’ll have a beverage or two and provide some music. Let it be the background of your evening! Also, yer man Bill Watkins will be at the pub telling tales and providing a bit of midweek folly. And ask Bill about the shields that adorn the upper walls of Merlins–he painted them.
The Menu is Up!
Our food and beverage menu is expanding rapidly. Please see the Meal & Drink page for the update…and check it a few times over the coming two weeks as more items and options are to be added. And keep the suggestions coming!
Single Malt Tastings
Merlins Rest will offer monthly tastings of single malt scotches and whiskeys/whiskys. The first event shall be held on Thursday, June 21, at 7:30 pm. A list of the current stock is available on the menu…though it’s come to my attention that another three or four varieties were acquired yesterday. Updates will be posted shortly! Please keep an eye on the website’s daily updates and events page for information on the first of the tastings.
Misc.
Our friends Bedlam, who play here every Tuesday night, and the good souls of Fabulous Records are working on recording the live sessions–mp3 tracks and streaming video. Some technical glitches at the moment, but it’s being worked on. Check in at the Fabulous Records website for updates. They are also keeping us informed via their newsletter, which you can sign up for on the Fabu home page.
