It’s the St. Andrew’s Society! - Friday
May 25th, 2007 by Merlin

It’s Friday, yes, but this week it has even greater weight at Merlins Rest. Friday’s here are always a good time, certainly, characterized as they are by the appearence of the sesssion players–Celtic musicians who set up pretty much where they please and play on in the background to the delight of everyone’s eve–and loads of men in kilts. It’s our tradition.
But this week we’re please to host Minnesota’s St. Andrew’s Society! The Scottish heritage and culture group will gather here for their first pub night of the season. Come learn about their activities or just enjoy your evening amidst the fanfare. (Some Scottish groups information is available on our links page. We welcome further suggestions.)
Also, there’s word that the Minnesota Police Pipe Band may play! Wonderful organization.
It’ll be a lovely time. We’ll see you soon, friends.

Belhaven is our Scottish ale on tap. We’re one of the only Twin Cities pubs to carry it. Give it a try. It’s tasty.
