Old Molly’s Folk Jam - Wednesday, May 2
May 2nd, 2007 by Merlin
It’s Wednesday. People just like and who might be armed with guitars and a good sense of fun will be gathering in the pub to play informally. The old folk jam is a relaxed tradition and one we’re fond of.
Stop up and join it, observe it, or just plain ignore it while enjoying a pint and maybe some Guinness stew. Mmmm…
May 3, Thursday: Kentucky Derby Selection Show - 9 pm
Specials on Mint Juleps! Ladies Hat Competition!

Get in the proper spirit for the Kentucky Derby with a mint julep, your best Derby Day hat, and some elegant conversation with our resident horse-handicappers John, Tony and Gordy. (Handicappers are people who study racing seriously; they don’t hurt the horses!) Learn the inside track on this year’s entrants, betting strategies, and horse racing in general. Also, all three are well-familiar with Minnesota’s own live racetrack Canterbury Park so can discuss the upcoming season that begins Saturday, May 5–Derby Day! This event is, of course, free and informal. So please come horse around at the pub with us!
